So yeah I googled Boxing Day and this was my favourite picture, they’re boxing, and it’s boxing day, GET IT!?
But on another note, everything else!
Merry Christmas everyone, I went to stay with my Dad for the eve and the day of christmas and it was fun times, Tea and Roast dinners and Presents and Drinking and all was well.
I was also lucky enough to spend it with my Oh So Lovely girl who wasn’t able to go to her home for Christmas. We had to come back early though (Boxing day, THIS DAY) because she had work, I’ve literally just been waiting for her to finish so I can hang out with someone ^_^
I managed to finish watching Misfits today though, I have to say I’m a bit annoyed with the last episode, they cheated way toooo much with the story by just ignorng whatever they wanted, for example…
SPOILER ALERT
Simon was told in the episode before that a future version of him came back in time to save the “Asbo 5” from various potential deaths, the episode ended with a guy who could control dairy product wih his mind killing ALL the characters except, of course, the time travelling guy, who just went back in time and killed dairy man (Monsieur Grand Fromage)
BUT if that is how it ended then how come in the latest episode Simon knows everything, I’m assuming he got told aaagain but stuff like that should really be mentioned.
But yeah that rant is over
Now I must leave to see my Mrs and tidy her room a bit before she comes home from work.
Also the Futurama films are terrible!
Oh man Oh man
It’s happening again, much like a transformation into a werewolf I’ve reached that time of the year where the little man inside me goes “Re-subscribe! raid and quest and grind until everything is dust!” and I feel I must re-join the “World of Warcraft”
The newest and biggest expansion to date has just been released and today I briefly made a trial account so I could have a quick peak at the damage that Deathwing had dealt to my beautiful world, then realised I can’t be bothered being a level 1 trying to check out the land, lucky for me blizzard threw a 10 day trial my way so I will be activating that bad boy and having a peak.
it’s currently updating so that it can run super smooth but from what I saw briefly of the zone I was last in (outside Orgrimmar) it all looks very different, I got lost trying to find the class trainer and learn the master upgrade on my class which I still have no idea what does…
it’s going to take some getting used to I’m sure but I’m looking forward to re-exploring the World… of Warcraft.
So yeah haven’t blogged in a while but I have a feeling I will again over the next couple of weeks, I’m trapped in a freezer at the moment.
When I say that I don’t mean I am literally trap in a freezer, but my boiler just broke in my flat and it is as cold inside as it is outside (where the snow is…), luckily my girlfriend is oh so beautiful and kind and I will be able to stay at hers for a while untill the landlady can send in the mighty British Gas to do something about it, I had the company “fix-it man” come by and he just did what I did, pressed some buttons, held them down for a few seconds thinking it would do some kind of re-boot and then poured boiling water all over the thing. To no avail of course.
So for right now I am sat at my Compooper wearing 2 hoodies, a scarf, my old beanie, 2 pears of socks, legwarmers (again thanks to my beautiful and kind woman) and Pj’s underneath my jeans, and I can still feel the cold pain….
I think it’ll be time to start some fires soon.
SPOILER ALERT FOR LOST FANS
Siiiiigh it’s been a while since I’ve been on but I need to get back into the swing I think, firstly because I like having a media in which I can vent my frustrations/highs/lols/random junk but secondly because I’m getting very bored these days when I find myself alone in my flat.
But HERE we go!
Just reached the penultimate episode of lost season one (I’m not miles behind, but I’m a Fanboy who likes re-watching it every now and again) and all I could think while watching Jin, Sawyer, Micheal and Walt leave the island on the raft is “Sigh, you have no idea what you’ve got to look forward to”
I can remember thinking this was epic, they were leaving the island, Jack and his band of merry men (and Kate) are running around with Dynamite in lé jungle, the others are on their way to steal people and the hatch is finally going to be opened!
How naive I was, we have a tail section, more stations, an entire research project, some surprising deaths, even MORE stations, leaving the island and then coming back and not to mention freakin’ Time Travel.
There are a lot of people who hated this show, and I can honestly say I’ve been a fan since air date one, even as my fellow fans got tired of the mysteries and the absurdity of the plot I carried on, not because I needed closure but I genuinely thought it was all genius.
R.I.P. Lost you were the best TV show ever to me and I hope others liked it as much as I did.
/Dead Rising 2
So yeah, I just got this game last week, I have to say as a Playstation 3 owner I’m pleased to see the franchise coming my way, in the past few years I’ve had the occasional encounters with Dead Rising either on friends consoles or my brothers, and always thought it looked and played amazingly.
Now that I’ve finally got my own copy to have fun with all I can say is, This Is Awesome!
I feel like I’m playing a game that has perfect timing, it knows when things are serious and when things are a joke, i.e. running around a shopping mall with 2 chainsaws attached to a paddle on either end, swinging it around slicing zombies into tiny bits… the main word that comes to mind when I play this game is Brutal.
The best part about this game is the fact that you plunge straight into it and the difficulty is nicely set, if you want you can murder zombies which is easy enough with the occasional close call, or if you’re feeling a tad braver than that you can go to various locations in Fortune City and have a go at fighting some Psychopaths, which can be very challenging. What I’m trying to say is this game actually challenges you, I recently played Assassins Creed 2 and as much fun as it was I found it a cake walk, you can counter ANY attack and have enough weapons in your arsenal that if you do get into a hairy situation it’s easy to recover.
Dead Rising 2 makes you work for the extra content and it’s well worth the risks.
All I can say to anyone who hasn’t bought this game but if you’re thinking it looks/sounds interesting, give it a go, you’ll probably end up losing hours to it.
I woke up an hour ago,
after going to bed at 2am,
I’m sleepy and want nothing more than to get back into bed,
but have a university to go into,
HOWEVER
This photo definatly made my day 10 times better ^_^
Siiigh, in the last week now of my version of the summer, lectures start again on Monday and I need to have a sketchbook ready for Tuesday, I have to say though I am so very very very bored of natural surfaces.
Don’t get me wrong I love nature, it’s epic, but having to draw the surface textures of natural things can get so boring, it gets worse though, they have to be from real life so I can’t decide to draw anything that I can’t find in my back garden or anywhere else near by. Not even sure what it has to do with Product Design as well, but hey that’s what I get when I decide to go to a University near home and not a GOOD one.
I wish I could draw something cool, if these were real I would defiantly be all over them, think of ALL the surface textures!

Not to mention, this is a great Plush Toy!
Man… I was not expecting to like this as much as I did!
I’ve heard about the hypocrisy when someone from Sony said “it looks like a lollipop that’s just stupid” and then they decided this lollipop was making frankly way too much money, so they decided to design a lollipop of their own, and here it is in the form of the Playstation Move.

A lot of people have said to me they think the glowing “bell-ends” on top make it hard to take serious but after spending a good couple of hours playing, seeing these multi-coloured balls flailing around was awesome.
I was definatly unsure about buying the PS Move for myself but I had a think, I already have the PS Eye and the controller itself you can get for £25ish, and the games themselves aren’t going much higher than £30, seems pretty reasonable no? the game the caught my attention the most was “Tumble”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zq8QY_tP-90 - Tumble Trailer
Me and my mate spent about an hour not trying to make it hard for each other but attempting to build the perfect tower as high as we could, unfortunatly he got a power up that randomly dropped bricks on my turn causing the whole thing to… tumble. I see what you did their Supermassive Games! (Developers, apprently a new move exclusive game design company but don’t quote me on that)
So yeah all I can say so far is this is a great idea if you’ve got a bunch of friends who don’t mind making fools of themselves, no idea what I would think in my room jumping and swinging around, alone…
I will say one thing though, this is not the next step in gaming, it’s just stepping to the left briefly to play with something fun and pointless, a novelty, I’m hoping the developers won’t forget that gaming is best when you have the complete minimal of movement, save thinking time to help get yourself completly immersed.
Not that the PS Move isn’t immersive, I just don’t see myself playing Killzone 3 and holding my arms in the air pretending like i’m holding a gun and forgetting I’m in my bedroom all together…
Only TIME will tell!
